"Purposed For Service: Reaching Inward, Upward and Outward!"
The women of Sigma Sigma Chapter are excited to have you visit our site. Please visit often to stay abreast of what the sorority and the chapter is doing in communities around Los Angeles and around the world.
As Sigma Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc, we have accepted the challenge to carry the torch of this fine sorority to positively impact our National Theme: community in the City of Los Angeles.
As a leading in the leading international non-profit community service organization, sorority we continue to provide "Greater Service, Greater Progress" to our community, as displayed by our signature international program, Project Reassurance. Project Reasurrance allows the sorority to address such issues, more specifically healthy living in the African American community. The theme for Project Reassurance is "It's All About Me! Healthy Choices, Healthy Living, Healthy Generations". This project is geared toward providing parents and their children with tools and information that can help eradicate the obesity that leads to low self-esteem, teenage pregnancy, and shorter life expectancy.
In addition, the women of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc implement the following programs throughout the sorority year: Operation BigBookBag, Project Mwanamugimu, Wee Savers, Project Africare and Hattie McDaniel Cancer Awareness & Health Program, just to name a few!
Again, continue to visit our site for updates and information.
